Online Presentation of the New Non-Binding Risk Management Policy for Deposit Guarantee Schemes 3/11/2025
The European Forum of Deposit Insurers (EFDI) is pleased to announce a special online event to present its newly published Non-Binding Risk Management Policy for Deposit Guarantee Schemes, prepared by the EFDI Risk Management Working Group (RMWG).
The paper will be presented by the co-leaders of the RMWG, Ms. Melinda Friesz and Mr. Loïc Trintignac.
This one-hour event will provide participants with an overview of the policy, its objectives, and its potential application by Deposit Guarantee Schemes (DGSs) across Europe. The session will also highlight the collaborative work of the RMWG and the contributions of its members.
The policy offers a practical framework for DGSs to strengthen their institutional risk management governance, adaptable to specific legal, operational, and organisational contexts. It is aligned with the EU Directive 2014/49/EU on Deposit Guarantee Schemes (DGSD), guidelines from the European Banking Authority (EBA), and principles of sound governance and risk management from international standard-setters.
