EU Management Executive (EUME) Election
Brussels, 13th June 2025

The EFDI General Assembly has elected Mr. Martin Boegl as a member of the EU Management Executive (EUME) for a three-year term. The election was made by acclamation by the Members from the European Union and European Economic Area during the General Assembly held on 5 June 2025.
Martin brings extensive experience in deposit guarantee and investor compensation. As Managing Director of the German Statutory Deposit Guarantee and Investor Compensation Scheme (EdB), he has played a central role in managing compensation cases, including both domestic and cross-border events such as Sberbank Europe AG. He has worked closely with national and EU-level stakeholders on the transposition and implementation of European legislation, and has closely followed recent regulatory developments such as the CMDI Review.
His expertise in financial stability, legal and economic policy, and crisis response is expected to significantly contribute to the work of the EUME and support the EU Committee in its coordination efforts.
We warmly welcome Mr. Martin to his new role and look forward to the valuable insights and leadership he will bring to EFDI.
Together with current EUME Members, Chairman Stefan Tacke, Ms. Renata Kadlecova, Mr. Marcello Bredice and Mr. Borja Peletero the EUME is complete and ready to keep conducting EFDI’s EU policy.
