
PRESS RELEASE. EFDI Public Relations and Communication Committee Meeting in Brussels
Brussels, 31 March 2026
The European Forum of Deposit Insurers and Investor Compensation Schemes (EFDI) held a successful meeting of its Public Relations and Communication (PRC) Committee on 30–31 March 2026 at the EFDI premises in Brussels, with participation both in person and remotely.
The meeting was opened by Sylvie Godron-de Maintenant, Leader of the PRC Committee (Fonds de Garantie des Dépôts et de Résolution – FGDR, France), together with Carlos Colao, Secretary General of EFDI.
During the meeting, members exchanged experiences and best practices across a broad range of topics. Highlights of the meeting included:
· Communication new 2026 campaign by Zuzana Suchá, Senior Advisor at the Guarantee System of Financial Markets of the Czech Republic (GSFT)
· Public Awareness Activities and 25th anniversary of BFG by Filip Dutkowski, Head of Communication and Public Affairs at Bankowy Fundusz Gwarancyjny (BFG), Poland
· Quick updates on the European Banking Authority's Task Force DGS: Implementing Technical Standard (ITS) on Depositors information by Alessio Greco (FGD-BCC, Italy) and the Leader of the PRC.
· EFDI Secretariat Communications Update by Mr Carlos Colao.
· Public awareness measurements: updates from 2022 to 2025 by Sylvie Godron-de Maintenant the Leader of the PRC committee.
· Public awareness measurement and activities in Norway by Kristine Ramnæs, Senior Advisor t at Norwegian Banks’ Guarantee Fund.
· Innovation: IA in communication works. Chatbots and other use cases by Alessio Grecco (co-leader of EFDI Fintech WG)
The meeting concluded with a roundtable session, which gave members the opportunity to review recent activities and share practical insights. This was followed by a review of the PRC Committee's roadmap and next steps.
EFDI warmly thanks the Leader of PRC committee, Sylvie Godron-de Maintenant, all PRC members and colleagues who joined the meeting, including those participating virtually, for their strong engagement and valuable contributions.
The meeting once again demonstrated the importance of close cooperation and knowledge-sharing among communication professionals within the EFDI membership.
