Adherence to the EFDI Sustainable Charter by Bosnia and Herzegovina Deposit Insurance Agency

We are very pleased to announce that the Bosnia and Herzegovina Deposit Insurance Agency ("DIA") has adhered to the EFDI Sustainable Charter for Deposit Guarantee and Investor Compensation Schemes (“EFDI Charter”) as from 24 June 2025.
Deposit Guarantee Schemes (“DGS”) and Investor Compensation Schemes (“ICS”) are active players in the international economy, aware of their responsibilities and the world they work in. EFDI Charter aims to bring and demonstrate the support and adherence to the principles of sustainability and social responsibility, and answer the call made in that field by various international organisations and initiatives, including the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI).
As sustainability, ESG and other related factors become increasingly critical in today’s business landscape, DIA has expressed its intention to adhere to EFDI Sustainability Charter.
With over 23 years of experience in the deposit insurance industry, DIA recognizes the importance of aligning our business activities and operations with the evolving demands of our environment. DIA believes that sustainability is gaining prominence, and it has emerged as one of the most vital aspects of our industry. The transition toward sustainable practices represents a significant shift, fundamentally transforming how business operate. Strategic management of this transition not only meets regulatory requirements but also presents new opportunities for innovations and leadership.
