Press release: Adherence to the EFDI Sustainable Charter by the Croatian Deposit Insurance Agency

We are very happy to announce that the Croatian Deposit Insurance Agency has adhered to the EFDI Sustainable Charter for Deposit Guarantee and Investor Compensation Schemes (“EFDI Charter”) as from 9 January 2025.
Deposit Guarantee Schemes (“DGS”) and Investor Compensation Schemes (“ICS”) are active players in the international economy, aware of their responsibilities and the world they work in. EFDI Charter aims to bring and demonstrate the support and adherence to the principles of sustainability and social responsibility, and answer the call made in that field by various international organisations and initiatives, including the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI).
The Croatian Deposit Insurance Agency has promoted responsible business practices for nearly three decades. As it continues to evolve, it recognized that sustainability has emerged as one of the most critical dimensions in our industry. The shift towards sustainable practices represents a profound transformation, reshaping the very foundation of how business operate. The strategic management of sustainable transition transcends regulatory requirements presenting new opportunities to innovate and lead by example.
The Croatian Deposit Insurance Corporation support EFDI’s ongoing initiatives toward sustainable goals and is committed to making a meaningful contribution to the global efforts of the DGS community.
